The Outwood Society

The Society was officially disbanded at the Annual Parish Meeting 2008.

The Outwood Society committee has not met for at least two years and the last AGM was even longer ago than that - when just one stalwart resident came along. Since then nobody has asked about it. The committee members have decided that, as everything they were doing is now being done by other groups in the village, they will stand down with immediate effect. The final piece of the jigsaw was the Parish Council boundary change which came in last April.

This is not the first time The Outwood Society has gone dormant and it may not be the last. If there are any residents who believe The Outwood Society should continue and would like to take on the task please let me or Bill Morle know and we will be pleased to hand it over. We have some funds remaining and, if the Society is discontinued, we will give these to the Outwood Show committee as that is where most of them came from.
