Draft Minutes of the Sixteenth Annual Meeting held on Monday 13th April 2014
at 7.30pm in the Lloyd Hall
Present Councillors I Frow, N Wyer, M Baldock, R Yeldham and B Gosling. Parish Clerk L Charlesworth.
In attendance: District Cllrs P Bond and A Jones, PC P Baker 30 plus residents.
The Clerk read the Notice convening the meeting and introduced the Chairman, Councillor Ian Frow, who welcomed our guest speakers and all those present.
Minutes The Clerk read the minutes of the fifteenth Annual Meeting, held on 28th April 2014. It was proposed by Cllr Monk and seconded by Cllr Wyer that these minutes be approved and signed.
Matters Arising There were no matters arising.
Chairman’s Report The Chairman presented his report.
Questions/Answers There were no questions
Cycle Rides UK Jerry Grey from Cycle Rides UK spoke on the logistics of the BHF London to Brighton Bike Ride; Tristram Jones, Head of Events at the British Heart Foundation, informed the meeting what the London to Brighton Bike Ride means to his organisation in terms of funding.
RAV Ann Bartaby, Chief Executive of Redhill Aerodrome Ventures, gave a short history of the aerodrome, and updated the meeting on its present activities.
Updates Short updates were presented by representatives from the Outwood Horticultural Society, Surrey Police, the WI, the Lloyd Hall Management Committee, St John’s Church, the Royal British Legion, the Youth Club, the MUGA Committee, the Outwood Show, the Cricket Club Shoestring Productions and the National Trust.
Vote of Thanks In closing the meeting the Chairman thanked all those who had asked questions, the representatives of village organisations who had provided updates, and our guest speakers for their presentations.
