Welcome
The Lloyd Hall is Outwood’s Village Hall. Thanks to the generosity of the late Mr & Mrs Lloyd (see A Brief History of the Lloyd Hall), the villagers of Outwood have a hall of which they can be proud. The Lloyd Hall is conveniently situated in Brickfield Road and enjoys an excellent reputation, both within and outside Outwood, as a well-appointed and characterful meeting and function venue. For many years the various village organisations, local residents and other hirers have made excellent use of its facilities and it is hoped that they will continue to do so for many years to come. The hall is necessarily run on commercial lines and makes a modest running profit annually which does not allow for maintenance and decoration, the costs of which rise every year.
Hire charges are reviewed each year and remain highly competitive with other local village halls. Current charges are shown here and are subject to change (with notice). The hall may be hired by village and other organisations and for private functions such as wedding receptions, parties, club meetings, animal clubs, and exhibitions.
The hall is well-equipped and includes a fully functional kitchen, complete with china and cutlery for large numbers.
The front entrance to the hall includes disabled access via a ramp, and there is disabled parking directly outside the hall.
Garden & Children's Play Area
A secure garden surrounds the hall, with a children’s play area to the rear of the hall itself. This is leased to Tandridge District Council at a notional annual rent and in return the Council is responsible for maintaining the play equipment, as well as covering the play area and equipment under its blanket insurance policy.
The Council checks the play equipment once a week for any wear or damage, and a more thorough inspection takes place once a year by RoSPA (The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents), for insurance purposes.
The play area has a bark safety surface and is situated in a secure and pleasant setting, well behind the hall, fenced off and away from the road.
You can find more information on Tandridge's children's play areas, as well as contact details for the Council's Amenity Services department, here.
If you have any queries about the Lloyd Hall play equipment, or to report any problems with the play area, please telephone Steve Hyder at Tandridge District Council on 01883 732967 or see the above link.
