MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF OUTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY 1ST APRIL 2025 AT THE LLOYD HALL, BRICKFIELD ROAD, OUTWOOD AT 7.30PM

PRESENT:                             Cllrs. De Wiggondene-Sheppard (Chair), Baldock and Malley

It was reported that an update on the Windmill situation had been circulated to interested parties.

04/1112                MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING 

  1. To approve the Minutes of the meetings held on 4th March 2025.

The Minutes had been d=circulated in advance and were proposed for signature by Cllr. Malley.  This was seconded by Cllr. Baldock and signed as a true record.                             SO RESOLVED

04/1114                COUNTY COUNCILLOR’S REPORT

It was reported that the grant application from  ‘Your Fund Surrey’ for the sum of £80,000 towards the hard footpath across Outwood Common is online for consultation:

04/1115                DISTRICT COUNCILLORS' REPORTS

Cllr. Farr reported that:

  • there was an imminent Planning Policy Committee meeting to discuss the recommendation for new Gypsy, Travellers and Travelling salespersons sites and assessed need.
  • The Godstone sinkhole repairs would take a year to complete
  • A new Local Plan was being worked on                                                                   NOTED

04/1116                PLANNING APPLICATIONS

The meeting was suspended to allow for the applicants to make their representation.

This was discussed in some detail and the meeting was closed.

    1. Application: 2024/1126 & 1152

Proposal:             Replacement of the existing 6 bay garage with a single-storey extension, attached to the existing property via a glazed link accessed from the house via an existing doorway with minor internal alterations. Lowering the existing rear bathroom window and construction of a replacement garden workshop.  Associated hard and soft landscaping works to comprise a new pathway adjacent the proposed extension. (amended Plans).

It was NOTED that village organisations had been informed of the date and some had said that they would like to speak.                                                                              NOTED

  1. Gatwick Airport – Cllr. McIntosh has joined the RACC on behalf of Outwood Parish Council. –                                                                                                                        NOTED

04/1118                FINANCE

  1. Grant request from Kent & Sussex Air Ambulance Charity – Cllr. de Wiggonene-Sheppard proposed a grant of £400.  This was seconded by Cllr. Malley and          AGREED
