MINUTES OF THE MEETING OF OUTWOOD PARISH COUNCIL HELD ON TUESDAY 1^ST APRIL 2025 AT THE LLOYD HALL, BRICKFIELD ROAD, OUTWOOD AT 7.30PM

PRESENT:                             Cllrs. De Wiggondene-Sheppard (Chair), Baldock and Malley

PUBLIC QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS:

It was reported that an update on the Windmill situation had been circulated to interested parties.

04/1112                MINUTES OF THE PREVIOUS MEETING 

1. To approve the Minutes of the meetings held on 4^th March 2025.

The Minutes had been d=circulated in advance and were proposed for signature by Cllr. Malley.  This was seconded by Cllr. Baldock and signed as a true record.                             SO RESOLVED

04/1114                COUNTY COUNCILLOR’S REPORT

It was reported that the grant application from  ‘Your Fund Surrey’ for the sum of £80,000 towards the hard footpath across Outwood Common is online for consultation:

04/1115                DISTRICT COUNCILLORS' REPORTS

Cllr. Farr reported that:

• there was an imminent Planning Policy Committee meeting to discuss the recommendation for new Gypsy, Travellers and Travelling salespersons sites and assessed need.
• The Godstone sinkhole repairs would take a year to complete
• A new Local Plan was being worked on                                                                   NOTED

04/1116                PLANNING APPLICATIONS

The meeting was suspended to allow for the applicants to make their representation.

This was discussed in some detail and the meeting was closed.

1. 1. Application: 2024/1126 & 1152

Proposal:             Replacement of the existing 6 bay garage with a single-storey extension, attached to the existing property via a glazed link accessed from the house via an existing doorway with minor internal alterations. Lowering the existing rear bathroom window and construction of a replacement garden workshop.  Associated hard and soft landscaping works to comprise a new pathway adjacent the proposed extension. (amended Plans).

2. VE Day Celebrations – update
   1. 1. Beacon – the insurers had been notified

3. Annual Village Meeting – programme

It was NOTED that village organisations had been informed of the date and some had said that they would like to speak.                                                                              NOTED

4. Gatwick Airport – Cllr. McIntosh has joined the RACC on behalf of Outwood Parish Council. –                                                                                                                        NOTED

04/1118                FINANCE

1. Grant request from Kent & Sussex Air Ambulance Charity – Cllr. de Wiggonene-Sheppard proposed a grant of £400.  This was seconded by Cllr. Malley and          AGREED
